Use LinkedIn in your Crisp app.
Sign in with LinkedIn and post on members' behalf.
People sign in with LinkedIn and the app reads their profile and publishes posts for them or for a page they manage. You register an app in the LinkedIn developer portal and ask for the products it needs.
What you need.
Sign in with your LinkedIn account in a new window and choose what your app may do. Crisp keeps the sign-in and hands your app a fresh token whenever it needs one, so no key is ever pasted or stored in your app.
- Know who signed in always
- See your name and photo always
- See your email address always
- Post, comment and like for you
- Read posts and comments of pages you manage
- Post for pages you manage
- See followers and statistics of pages you manage
Prefer your own LinkedIn app? Paste its client id and secret instead, and your app runs the sign-in itself on your own pages:
- Client id
LINKEDIN_CLIENT_ID- linkedin.com/developers, your app, Auth, Application credentials
- Client secret
LINKEDIN_CLIENT_SECRET- Same page, Primary Client Secret
How to connect.
-
Open your project, or start a new one from the dashboard.
-
Open the workspace menu and choose Connectors, then pick LinkedIn.
-
Choose what your app may do and press Connect. You approve it with LinkedIn in a new window, and your app can use the service from then on.
Then ask for the feature
- “Add Sign in with LinkedIn”
- “Let members publish their weekly summary to LinkedIn”
What happens to your keys.
- Each key is saved as a private setting of your project, under the name shown above.
- The AI that builds your app sees only the names. It writes code that reads each key by name, and never the value.
- The values reach your preview and your published app, and never the chat, the code or the logs.
- Open Connectors in your project to replace a key or disconnect the service. Publish again so your live app uses the change.
Service names and logos belong to their owners; Crisp is not affiliated with them. A service changes its keys and pages now and then. Found something out of date? Tell us and we will correct it.
Ask for the feature, and Crisp builds it with LinkedIn.
