Use Salesforce in your Crisp app.
Read and update CRM records.
Sign people in with their Salesforce account so the app can read and update accounts, contacts, cases and other records in your org. You create an external client app in Setup and paste its consumer key and secret.
What you need.
Sign in with your Salesforce account in a new window and choose what your app may do. Crisp keeps the sign-in and hands your app a fresh token whenever it needs one, so no key is ever pasted or stored in your app.
- Read and update records through the API always
- Stay connected without signing in again always
- See your name, email and org
Prefer your own Salesforce app? Paste its client id and secret instead, and your app runs the sign-in itself on your own pages:
- Consumer key
SALESFORCE_CLIENT_ID- Setup, External Client App Manager, your app, OAuth Settings. Starts with 3MVG9
- Consumer secret
SALESFORCE_CLIENT_SECRET- Same page. Shown after an identity check
- Account URL
SALESFORCE_INSTANCE_URL- Your org's My Domain address, from Setup, My Domain
- Environment optional
SALESFORCE_ENVIRONMENT- production (the default) or sandbox. A sandbox signs in through test.salesforce.com
How to connect.
-
Open your project, or start a new one from the dashboard.
-
Open the workspace menu and choose Connectors, then pick Salesforce.
-
Choose what your app may do and press Connect. You approve it with Salesforce in a new window, and your app can use the service from then on.
Then ask for the feature
- “Build a customer portal over my Salesforce cases”
- “Create a Salesforce lead from each demo request”
What happens to your keys.
- Each key is saved as a private setting of your project, under the name shown above.
- The AI that builds your app sees only the names. It writes code that reads each key by name, and never the value.
- The values reach your preview and your published app, and never the chat, the code or the logs.
- Open Connectors in your project to replace a key or disconnect the service. Publish again so your live app uses the change.
Service names and logos belong to their owners; Crisp is not affiliated with them. A service changes its keys and pages now and then. Found something out of date? Tell us and we will correct it.
Ask for the feature, and Crisp builds it with Salesforce.
