WordPress.com Productivity

Use WordPress.com in your Crisp app.

Access sites hosted on WordPress.com.

Sign people in with their WordPress.com account so the app can list their sites, read posts and media, and publish new posts. You register an application on WordPress.com and paste its client id and secret.

What you need.

Sign in with your WordPress.com account in a new window and choose what your app may do. Crisp keeps the sign-in and hands your app a fresh token whenever it needs one, so no key is ever pasted or stored in your app.

Prefer your own WordPress.com app? Paste its client id and secret instead, and your app runs the sign-in itself on your own pages:

Client ID
WORDPRESS_COM_CLIENT_ID
developer.wordpress.com/apps, your application. A number
Client secret
WORDPRESS_COM_CLIENT_SECRET
Same page

How to connect.

  1. Open your project, or start a new one from the dashboard.

  2. Open the workspace menu and choose Connectors, then pick WordPress.com.

  3. Choose what your app may do and press Connect. You approve it with WordPress.com in a new window, and your app can use the service from then on.

Then ask for the feature

  • “Let users import posts from their WordPress.com blog”
  • “Publish to WordPress.com from my editor”

What happens to your keys.

  • Each key is saved as a private setting of your project, under the name shown above.
  • The AI that builds your app sees only the names. It writes code that reads each key by name, and never the value.
  • The values reach your preview and your published app, and never the chat, the code or the logs.
  • Open Connectors in your project to replace a key or disconnect the service. Publish again so your live app uses the change.

Service names and logos belong to their owners; Crisp is not affiliated with them. A service changes its keys and pages now and then. Found something out of date? Tell us and we will correct it.

Ask for the feature, and Crisp builds it with WordPress.com.
