Xero Payments

Use Xero in your Crisp app.

Accounting with contacts, invoices and reports.

People sign in with their Xero account and the app reads and writes their contacts, invoices, payments and reports. You register an app in the Xero developer portal and the built app handles the sign-in.

What you need.

Sign in with your Xero account in a new window and choose what your app may do. Crisp keeps the sign-in and hands your app a fresh token whenever it needs one, so no key is ever pasted or stored in your app.

Prefer your own Xero app? Paste its client id and secret instead, and your app runs the sign-in itself on your own pages:

Client id
XERO_CLIENT_ID
developer.xero.com, My Apps, your Web app, Configuration. Add the redirect address shown here as its OAuth 2.0 redirect URI
Client secret
XERO_CLIENT_SECRET
Same page, Generate a secret. Shown once

How to connect.

  1. Open your project, or start a new one from the dashboard.

  2. Open the workspace menu and choose Connectors, then pick Xero.

  3. Choose what your app may do and press Connect. You approve it with Xero in a new window, and your app can use the service from then on.

Then ask for the feature

  • “Let clients connect Xero and see their overdue invoices”
  • “Create a Xero invoice for each completed job”

What happens to your keys.

  • Each key is saved as a private setting of your project, under the name shown above.
  • The AI that builds your app sees only the names. It writes code that reads each key by name, and never the value.
  • The values reach your preview and your published app, and never the chat, the code or the logs.
  • Open Connectors in your project to replace a key or disconnect the service. Publish again so your live app uses the change.

Ask for the feature, and Crisp builds it with Xero.
