Use Microsoft Teams in your Crisp app.
Post messages and read channels in Teams.
People sign in with their Microsoft account and your app can list their teams and channels, post messages, reply in threads and read conversations. One Entra app registration can be reused for every Microsoft connector.
What you need.
Sign in with your Microsoft Teams account in a new window and choose what your app may do. Crisp keeps the sign-in and hands your app a fresh token whenever it needs one, so no key is ever pasted or stored in your app.
- Stay connected without signing in again always
- See your name and email always
- See the names and descriptions of teams you belong to always
- See the names and descriptions of channels always
- Read messages in channels
- Send messages in channels
- Read your chats
- Read and write your chats
- Send messages in chats

Prefer your own Microsoft Teams app? Paste its client id and secret instead, and your app runs the sign-in itself on your own pages:
- Application (client) id
MICROSOFT_TEAMS_CLIENT_ID- entra.microsoft.com, App registrations, your app, Overview (one registration serves every Microsoft connector). A UUID
- Client secret
MICROSOFT_TEAMS_CLIENT_SECRET- The same app, Certificates and secrets. The Value column, shown once
- Tenant id optional
MICROSOFT_TEAMS_TENANT_ID- The same Overview page, Directory (tenant) id. Leave empty to allow any Microsoft account (common)
How to connect.
-
Open your project, or start a new one from the dashboard.
-
Open the workspace menu and choose Connectors, then pick Microsoft Teams.
-
Choose what your app may do and press Connect. You approve it with Microsoft Teams in a new window, and your app can use the service from then on.
Then ask for the feature
- “Post every new ticket to the Support channel”
- “Let managers approve requests from Teams”
What happens to your keys.
- Each key is saved as a private setting of your project, under the name shown above.
- The AI that builds your app sees only the names. It writes code that reads each key by name, and never the value.
- The values reach your preview and your published app, and never the chat, the code or the logs.
- Open Connectors in your project to replace a key or disconnect the service. Publish again so your live app uses the change.
Service names and logos belong to their owners; Crisp is not affiliated with them. A service changes its keys and pages now and then. Found something out of date? Tell us and we will correct it.
Ask for the feature, and Crisp builds it with Microsoft Teams.
