The preview does not load

If the preview stays blank, shows an error or does not change, reload it, wait for it to wake up, open it in a new tab, or ask Crisp to fix it.

Try these first#

  1. Press Reload in the bar above the preview.
  2. If the preview says Waking your app, wait a few seconds. Your app sleeps when nobody uses it and wakes up when you open it.
  3. Press Open in a new tab to see the app on its own. If it works there, the problem is only in the preview frame.
  4. Check the end of the chat. If the last build failed, the app may be in a broken state. See A build stopped or failed.

The app is not responding#

This message means your app stopped running. Press Reload once. If it stays, ask Crisp in the chat: "The preview says the app is not responding. Please fix it." Crisp can read the app's error log and restart it.

The preview shows an old version#

The preview reloads by itself after each build. If you still see an old version, press Reload. If you edited a file in the Code tab, check that you saved it.

A page shows an error#

Copy the error message, note the page in the path bar, and send both to Crisp. See Write good prompts.

Sign-in in your app does not work in the preview#

Some browsers block sign-in inside a frame. Press Open in a new tab and sign in there.

The preview is blank in the frame but works in a new tab#

Your preview is private, and the frame opens it with a short sign-in that your browser keeps for the app's address. A browser that blocks this for every site shown in a frame shows a blank or a refused page there. Press Open in a new tab: the preview works in its own tab. To let the frame work, allow cookies for the app in your browser's settings.
