Use Google Sheets in your Crisp app.
Read and update rows in a spreadsheet.
People sign in with their Google account and your app can read a sheet as rows, append new rows, update cells and create spreadsheets. The same Google Cloud OAuth client can be reused for every Google connector.
What you need.
Sign in with your Google Sheets account in a new window and choose what your app may do. Crisp keeps the sign-in and hands your app a fresh token whenever it needs one, so no key is ever pasted or stored in your app.
- Know who signed in always
- See your email address always
- See all your Google Sheets spreadsheets always
- See, edit, create, and delete all Google Sheets spreadsheets
- See, edit, create, and delete only the specific Google Drive files you use with this app
- See and download all your Google Drive files
- View metadata for files in your Google Drive
Prefer your own Google Sheets app? Paste its client id and secret instead, and your app runs the sign-in itself on your own pages:
- Client id
GOOGLE_SHEETS_CLIENT_ID- console.cloud.google.com, Credentials, OAuth client (one client serves every Google connector). Ends with .apps.googleusercontent.com
- Client secret
GOOGLE_SHEETS_CLIENT_SECRET- The same OAuth client. Starts with GOCSPX-
How to connect.
-
Open your project, or start a new one from the dashboard.
-
Open the workspace menu and choose Connectors, then pick Google Sheets.
-
Choose what your app may do and press Connect. You approve it with Google Sheets in a new window, and your app can use the service from then on.
Then ask for the feature
- “Add every form submission as a row in my sheet”
- “Show the price list from a Google Sheet on the site”
What happens to your keys.
- Each key is saved as a private setting of your project, under the name shown above.
- The AI that builds your app sees only the names. It writes code that reads each key by name, and never the value.
- The values reach your preview and your published app, and never the chat, the code or the logs.
- Open Connectors in your project to replace a key or disconnect the service. Publish again so your live app uses the change.
Service names and logos belong to their owners; Crisp is not affiliated with them. A service changes its keys and pages now and then. Found something out of date? Tell us and we will correct it.
Ask for the feature, and Crisp builds it with Google Sheets.
